STOLE MONEY FROM ME
I went into this bank almost a week ago to cash my paycheck to open an account at a credit union in walking distance from my apartment. The credit union recommended that I go to TD Bank because that's where my check was from and the credit union would've had to put a hold on my check and I needed my money that day. I figured no big deal and walked down to TD. They were very friendly and helpful (at first) and even talked to me about opening an account with them which I WAS interested in because I recently found out my place of work does direct deposit and it might only be for this bank. The teller was super weird and shady - not like most tellers. I thought nothing of it until after the fact. My mistake. I was in such a hurry that I forgot to count my money but my fiancé witnessed what I'm about to tell you. She counted the money in front of me and handed me the money rolled up. I had my purse on the counter and the money went straight into my bag. There was no time for any of it to drop. My fiancé and I rushed back to the credit union and that's when we realized the teller had shorted me. We counted the money over and over and called TD. They said the teller's drawer was balanced so I knew nothing could be done. This teller must be one smart chick because she was able to get away with it and what blows my mind is that she had people on either side of her. I realize this was my stupid mistake and I'm taking it as a loss. If a bank teller is that low to steal $20 from a potential customer she must need that money more than I do. However, I will be calling corporate as soon as possible and explaining my experience to give them a heads up because nobody, no matter how big or small the amount of money is, should have money stolen from them. Especially when they were thinking of opening an account.
Nice people, helped my husband go through his information being stolen. They may have made me want to switch my bank to them
